Standard 5: Behavior of Gases

Core Standard
Using the kinetic molecular theory, describe and explain the behavior of ideal gases.

Core Standard
Examine the relationship between number of moles, volume, pressure, and
temperature for ideal gases, using the ideal gas equation of state PV = nRT.

Directions:

  1. Each student will follow the book and learn the material. 
  2. At the end of each section, you will take the online practice quiz and then when you are ready, you will take the quiz given to you by your teacher.  Each quiz will be graded and worth 10 points. 
  3. All quizzes must be taken and graded prior to taking the test.
  4. When you are finished with the chapter, you will take a test.  It will be multiple choice and made up of 50 questions worth 1 points each and then 50 points of problems to solve.
  5. The test must be taken during one of the class times assigned for this work OR during study hall.
