SOME BACKGROUND
- Light is interesting in that it exists both as a wave and as a particle. This is known as the dual nature of light.
- A wave is simply a means of transporting energy. Some waves require a medium, such a sound. Other, like light, can travel in the vacuum of space.
- A particle is a finite unit of mass or energy that can travel through a medium.
